The Killers Nottingham Rock City 25th November 2006

At manchester I was row six there so i really wanted to be at the Front. We got there about 4.30 and for some reason Nottingham seemed to run things a lot earlier than everywhere else. we got let in at 6.55 some people got searched and others did. Lucky I wasn't and was able to get just where I wanted to be which was right in front of Dave.
I just happen to like him a bit that's it.
The stage was tiny they didn't even have room to put up half the lights and the Sam's Town light up banner.
It was all so much closer the space between barrier and stage was about 5 ft if that where as with manchester it had been about 10 ft.
I think I spent the time between getting to the barrier and Killers coming on stage smiling lots and exchanging smiles with Jane as I went I can't believe were so close.
The support band came on at 7.30 I think they were called Broken Stars I was very impressed with them. Definatly more suitable that The Brakes and I enjoyed them a lot more.
Setting up began and I had to laugh when the roadie went to check Mark's mic and had to stand on tip toes (I know little things amuse little minds)
They ended up coming on stage just after 8.30 I was a bit shocked because I felt sure they would take a lot longer.

Brandon was in fine form and was loving the crowd I would say it was a lot more hyper than manchester maybe because it was smaller. The sound wasn't as good but I enjoyed myself more. I did get the impression that maybe Dave was a bit frusted I think he had problems with his guitar being in tune and he kicked his mic stage over towards the end. He also didn't stick his tongue out much.
I'm sure we had eye contact at one point and OMG he did this hip grind thing and I'm sure I drooled.
Near the end Dave stood on the piano to play and it doesn't look the most stayable thing in the world I felt sure it was going to collaspe.
A funny moment was when Ronnie had to go in front of Brandon while he was playing the piano and he gave him this funny look I felt sure it would distract him from playing.

Alondria had to leave about half way into it as some people were being really nasty with her and it all got a little to much.

After the gig was over me and kiraelf went around the back Alondria went to the car because she wasn't feeling too good. Dave came out after about a hour he signed a lot and I got a pic with him it made my night. I left about 10mins after Jane was going to see Scissor Sisters next day and Alondria not doing too good that so it was not fair I did not get to met the others I had a great night even if I had just had the gig.
I crawled into bed at 1am.
